As we know Whyville was out for a looong time. Almost 20 days! Some of the friends I know on Whyville freaked when it came back! Some just stared at the 'puter screen on awe. Here's my idea of how Whyville got shutdown???.

It was a normal day in Whyville, chatting, shopping, ya know, the regular, when he came!!!

WHY VILLAIN!!! Not Whyvillian, the evil, WHY VILLAIN OF DOOM!! The evil hacker who is so mean (to newbies especially) and takes advantage of every one! City Hall screamed, "Oh no what will we do? All his cruelty and his dirty back-stabbing ways could make our happy town sad and unfriendly!" They just couldn't handle it.

The WHY VILLAIN didn't just come with himself, he had a whole gang! Surprisingly, these villains weren't ugly like in the ones in Batman or Spiderman, these villains were rich from their stealing, and were very good looking. They were once newbies, but they had been treated kindly and got a lot of charity, which they took for granted and became mean.

One day as the gang of mean villains were prowling through the village, up to there usual tricks, they only talked to the "beautiful people". They warned newbies for no apparent reason and were just plain rotten mean!

The worse part was, this gang was growing by the minute! Everyone was starting to have beauty contests and bother newbies because of the way they looked. My opinion was, "Ok, Whyville is a little fantasy land! It is supposed to get you away from reality! Not be stereotypical like the real world!" Many peeps agreed. This went on for a while, until.???

One day a guy named Hero Henry came to this land. His new justice had to be served. He tried and tried to convince these villains how wrong hacking and discriminating against newbies was.

DID THEY LISTEN??????? NO!!! The couldn't care less!

"It's now our fault that they're ugly," said one.

Another said, "Hey us people, PRETTY people in our group stay together and them, uh, ugly people stay together."

Henry knew this was VERY mean and wrong. Henry even said, "Who knows? One day they might be richer, prettier, and BETTER than you and you are gonna need help. Will they want to help you after the way you treat them? I think not!"

Hero Henry left Whyville for good because he was so disgusted.

The next day a fairy who had seen what was happening over the past weeks confronted these WHY VILLAINS. She said, "Because of your disgusting ways I am punishing you to a sentence of 16 days of no Whyville! And if it happens again, for even longer!" and POOF she was gone. And so was Whyville, for the next 16 days.

This problem still exists in Whyville. We do not want Whyville to go away for even longer, we love it! So be kind to everyone you meet. Respect them and you are in for a treat!
