While I was thinking of who to write about for the Whyvillian in the Spotlight award I looked through chat rooms, City Records, and of course my address book for citizens who I felt were qualified. I made a checklist to see who had made a contribution to Whyville. I quickly came up with a name. Mitsuy!
I thought about it for a while and decided to ask her some questions since I had only talked to her five or six times before. The first time I met her I was excited. I knew she was a well known Whyville designer. I talked with her for a minute or two and realized she is much more than a designer, she is a very kind and caring person.
Well here are some things I learned about Mitsuy. Mitsuy is 15 years old and has made around 600 to 650 face parts! Wow! That is quite a lot of parts! Mitsuy started designing her wonderful parts a few weeks after she joined Whyville. She designs lots of cats, eyes, lips, and hair. Mitsuy got the idea of designing from NASU. Thank you NASU! Mitsuy's wonderful store is called Mitsuy Corp. Go and check it out some time but beware, you are going to be tempted to buy something so make sure you have some spare clams!
Mitsuy is one of my Whyville heroes. She influenced me to design face parts. The past few months everything on my face was made by me! Not this month though.
I hope you will join me in thanking Mitsuy for being a great designer, role model, and Whyville hero. She has taken many risks and made hard decisions and made us happy with our faces. I would also like to say congratulations on all your success and I want you to know that you are a well known hero to thousands of kids around the world! Thank you!
