silence,
Unaware and
unsuspecting
Half conscious,
half dream world,
I lie.
Then, the room is
filled
With noise.
Not loud, just
surprising.
I jolt awake.
I crawl out
of bed.
But not for long.
Suddenly,
I am back in,
Shivering,
huddled
in the middle of the blankets.
