Hi this is Smurfette. This is a true story that I heard last week:
I was walking around Whyville and stopped at the pool. There, I saw some
good looking faces making fun of a newbie (the new person asked to stay
anonymous). Only it wasn't a newbie. He just looked like one. Well, one
of the popular kids asked, "Why do you even come on to Whyville?" The
newbie answered, "Actually I came on to learn. I just heard about this
place and thought I might actually learn something."
Well, this did not help. The other kids started picking on him even more. They
said things like, "Loser. Whyville is for hanging out with people."
Well this really got me.
That newbie is what I call A TRUE WHYVILLIAN!! He stood up for what he
believed in, and he realized what Whyville is all about.
Think about
when Whyville first started out. Most people looked the same and there
weren't all the variety of activities to choose from as there is now.
Actually, Whyville was started to help teach things like science in a FUN
way, but most people today don't even go to the Spin Lab any more or
to Dr. Leila's house. They just sit around and try to make themselves
beautiful or cute, and talk to their friends, and become popular.
What has happened to Whyville? Has it suddenly just changed? Why
can't people just respect Whyville for what it TRULY is?
Well, that's all I have to say, and I hope you open your eyes and see
what Whyville is really made of.
This is Smurfette, Signing out.
