Haikus

by MonkeyGrl
Whyville Poet

Here are some Haikus that I made. First I'll tell you a little bit about what Haikus are. They are Japanese, unrhyming poems, that are about nature. There are three lines that go: 5, 7, and 5 syllables.

The Sea

The Sea is bright blue
And the dolphins are swimming
Doing flips and jumps.

The Jungle

I see a tiger
In the jungle with some vines
And monkeys in trees.

The Fish

The fish are swimming
And jumping in the water
They are in the creek.

Cherry

White blossoms in trees
Sweet red fruit in the sunshine
Cherries are growing.
