PANDEMIC
Like a mushroom cloud in the sky
After ending the world with a snap,
I froze at the edge of extremity,
Where sight was stretched to the ripping point
And I could actually hear the sound of silence

The minutes collapsed continuously
Leaving remains for hours to trace-
Hours that held me at gunpoint,
Forcing me to pull the delirium trigger,
Closing the gap on this craze

Here I fear the loneliness
Of thinking too much into my own thoughts,
Looking too deeply into possibility,
Becoming a lover to reality
And waiting to see you again

These dreams are the nightmares
My dark thoughts turned true
In a place I can't change them
Where I'm left without color
But all shades of blue

I'm filled with frustration
By the world's cadence
As I waste time away
Awaiting our rendezvous
And fall to pieces, dazed,
Manic to the craze
Of missing you
