Hello! This is Andrea here, for the first time. Today I am going to interview and get some tips from the famous clothing designer, girlyleo! You may or may not have heard of girlyleo, but she is a very popular clothing designer. Fashion is a major part of Whyville; everyone tries to look their best. Girlyleo's fashions can help!

Girlyleo currently has more then 165 items (Approx. 8 pages) in Akbars, toting the girlyleo label. And in her store GIRLYLE'???S ELITE ?? she has 179 items (Approx. 9 pages) also containing the girlyleo label. Girlyleo carries a certain style; as her name suggests, she is a "girly girl." Most of her designs reflect who she is, but she does not limit herself to just this genre. Her styles also include: punk, gothic, formal, prep, seasonal, historical and many more. Her styles are unique and her own.

A few things about girlyleo:

Girlyleo is one of Whyville's most trusted designers; she has never scammed anyone or taken their clams. She is a 19 year-old female, who lives in Canada. Her name is Jessica, and she has been on Whyville since June 21, 2001. She has also been on over 1,430 days and she has a salary of 128 clams a day! That's what I called dedicated or just plain addicted. ;)

Girlyleo, also has a deal right now, she is making name tags for those who are willing to pay her 5,000 clams for her time. If you are interested in this, y-mail her; she will contact you back with the details. And believe me, they are pretty awesome.

To begin the interview, I asked girlyleo a few questions.

Andreappd: So, when and why did you start to design?
Girlyleo: I think I started designing in November of 2001 because there were only two or three designers that were good, plus they weren't making what I wanted to wear in Whyville.

Andreappd: What is one of your favorite designs?
Girlyleo: I designed exactly what I wanted to wear, so that's an extremely hard question to answer . . . I looked through all my designs and I still can't decide on a favorite.

Andreappd: Do you have any tips for people who are just beginning designing?
Girlyleo: Lol, you mean besides telling them that a WhyPass is a must? I'd tell them to start small (rings, noses, necklaces) you know get the feel for it. A big must is neatness; people won't buy your things if the color is out of line. Mostly just keep at it until you reach perfection. :) You should see my first three parts they were so bad no one would buy them.

Andreappd: Do you have any further comments?
Girlyleo: I'd just like to tell everyone to follow their passion and not to let anyone or anything stop them from doing what they feel will make them happy, as long as they're not stopping others from doing the same. ;)

Andreappd: Well, that should just about wrap up this interview. And thank you so much for your time, Jessica. ;)

Statistics

I decided to take a little survey to see what others think about girlyleo. 30 people took this survey. *Please note, since I interviewed 30 people some percentages were in fractions, so I rounded it off to the nearest whole number.*

77% of the people in Whyville have heard of girlyleo.
43% of the people in Whyville own one or more item(s) that girlyleo created.
53% of the people in Whyville love girlyleo's style.

Thank you to all who participated in this survey.

Girlyleo is one of the many examples of what you can accomplish in Whyville when you put your mind to it. I am hoping to make this a series about new and/or old designers, but then again it may or may not happen. If you would like to suggest a designer for my articles please y-mail me.

This is andreappd signing off, keeping you up-to-date on the latest fashions.
