Hey Whyvillians! Have you ever heard of the famous star Hilary Duff? Maybe you remember her from the series "Lizzie McGuire"? No? Maybe you remember her from the clothing line Stuff or Candies?. No. Well, how about the movie Casper Meets Wendy, Cadet Kelly, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Agent Cody Banks, Cheaper By the Dozen, A Cinderella Story, The Perfect Man, Cheaper By the Dozen Two or have you seen previews for her most recent movie that hasn't even came out yet, Material Girls? Does one of those movies ring a bell? Ring ring? No? Well, how about her CD's Metamorphosis, Most Wanted or Collector's Signature Edition. Does it ring a bell YET? Ring ring? Well, maybe a long lost idea will pop into your mind while I am telling you about the one and only Hilary Duff!
First, I think you should know her first big role was in Casper Meets Wendy, where as you may have guess Duff was Wendy! Well, after that success Duff decided to move onto another success. Duff stared in the show "Lizzie McGuire," playing the lead role as Lizzie McGuire. Duff was a huge success. Everyone tuned on for "Lizzie McGuire"! And soon enough Duff stared in the movie The Lizzie McGuire movie, which again was another huge success! Duff was on a roll! And in 2003 Duff stared in movies Agent Cody Banks and Cheaper By the Dozen. In 2004 The Perfect Man and a sequel Cheaper By the Dozen Two. Coming out soon, she stars in Material Girls and the animated movie Food Figh.
Wow, right? Well, think her acting career is crazy? Well, what about her singing career? Well, as Duff was becoming a television star, at the time she was launching a singing career! Crazy right? Well, her first album Metamorphosis was #1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell more than two million copies with the #1 single, So Yesterday. Wow . . . what a life, right?
That was in the past. Duff's latest album, Most Wanted, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and was #1 in Canada and #8 in Japan. Oh my gosh! Wow. What a life! Imagine living a life where you are starring in a hit television show, starring a movies and have a recording contract?! Well, here's a little more scoop. Her hit single, Wake Up, was the #1 video on MTV TRL and the #1 single on Radio Disney, plus her second single, Beat of my Heart's video was also #1 on MTV TRL. Duff's concert tours here in the States, Canada and Australia always sell out and Duff has plans to tour abroad soon in Japan and just finished her music promotion tour through Europe.
Eh-hem. That's not it. Duff launched her fashion and home label "Stuff by Hilary Duff" in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand and plans to expand into new categories and new territories around the world. Duff announced the launch of her teen. She plans to launch a juniors line in Fall 2007 in the U.S. and abroad.
