Hey there! Ps2man1 here, with a music article! If this one is accepted it will probably be my first, and most definitely not my last! Music is really fun to write about!

As pretty much anyone who watches MTV on a daily basis on Whyville knows, (which I bet is many of you) that the MTV VMA's (Video Music Awards) are coming to Radio City Music Hall in New York on August 31st! This is, for those of you who don't understand awards on best music and music videos!

The different awards vary widely, from best male video to best female video. Other categories include best rock video, best hip hop video, best choreography, viewer's choice award, video of the year, and more!

This year, there are a lot of familiar old faces nominated for awards such as Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Mariah Carey, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as some new faces, including Shakira, Panic! At The Disco, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Angels and Airwaves, and many more.

The leaders in nominations this year have seven nominations each, and are the Red Hot Chili Peppers with "Dani California," and Shakira with "Hips Don't Lie." Followed by Panic! At The Disco with "I write Sins not Tragedies" and Madonna with "Hung Up" with five nominations a piece. Then there are Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, and all the other nominees that have less than three nominations.

This year, MTV is allowing the people vote for the awards! If you read this before the awards, go online and vote. May the best artists win. *coughs out favorite*.
