Most of us can agree we love Whyville. Right? What other website can you create your own unique face, chat, go to Mars , learn everything, design clothes, own a store, have fun , shop, read the newspaper, and all the other cool stuff we do in one day! I want to know is what is the particular reason you joined? Maybe it is not one of the reasons listed above. Then what is it? I studied citizens' behaviors and read past articles and here are some of the reasons why many of us joined Whyville.

Reason #1
"I joined Whyville because I was looking for a fun educational site"

That is a great reason to join! Education is what Whyville is truly designed for. When I typed Whyville into a google search and one word kept coming up -- educational. I felt confident that I was safe and I would be surrounded by people just as happy to be persuing education as me.

Reason #2
"I wanted to meet new people"

That is a good reason too! Meeting new people is great and Whyville is one of the best places to do that. You can chat around town in a very safe environment and meet cool new people.

Reason #3
"I love fashion design and I love to design face parts"

Another great reason to join. If Whyville is helping you pursue your passion I say keep doing what you are doing. Have fun and make sure to design some really cool clothes.

Reason #4
"I just wanted a online boyfriend/girlfriend"

Okay, here is the sticky stuff. Sure Whyville allows it, but I don't think it is the reason you should have joined. I am totally against dating on Whyville. I don't have a Whyville boyfriend and I think it is wrong. You never know who is on the other side and once you are a "couple" you think you can trust them and you start giving out information. That is not good!

Reason #5
"I love writing and I jumped for the chance to write for a newspaper"

Cool! The Whyville Times is one of the things that intrigued me most about Whyville. I totally agree that would be a great reason to join.

Reason #6
"I wanted to have fun"

Why not! Whyville is a great place to have tons of fun. There is so much stuff to do here and one of the reasons is to have fun.

Reason #7
"I wanted to help people"

That is great! Whyville is the perfect place to practice that. There is so much you can do to help including donating to grandma's, being a y-mail helper, giving someone clams, or just helping someone figure out a game.

I am sure there are many other reasons. I am not really here to say your reason was bad and you should have never joined. I am more here to open your eyes and make you thinkof why you joined. Of course you may not agree with anything or you might agrre with everything i said and you know what that is fine diffrences of opions is what keeps the world go round.If we all thought the same it would be utterly boring.Don't you think?
