As many of you know, January's Meet the Makers took place on January 2. For all of you who weren't lucky enough to go there, I took plenty of notes to share. So here's an update of new things on Whyville.
First, Jen came. She gave plenty of new tips and hints of things to come. I won't go into exact order of what all the City Workers had to say, because that would be very jumbling and confusing, but here it is, everything that the City Workers had to say. =)
Quotes from Jen:
"There will be a new WhoI lab."
"A new clubhouse will come to Sector Y in January or February."
"The SunSpot puzzle, yes, we should defiantly work on that!"
"Requirements for being a City Worker are: You have to love Whyville, be patient, and like kids."
Next, quotes from Mark. (He seems to be the most talkative. =P)
"Everyone will be able to have their own quill in a few weeks, for 50 to 100 clams a week. You'll be able to choose your own font and background color."
"There are no plans for a bank."
"We'll add to SunSpot puzzle to our list, it's worth coming back."
"Yes, we've always wanted you to make your own calendars."
"We are planning an activity where you can create your own viruses, and make cures for other peoples viruses. It should come out in June."
"Just this morning we discussed how to let everyone in the Face Factory."
"For those of you who do log out properly, it would be a good idea to be able to tell if you are online or offline."
"In about 5 weeks, the beaches will be polluted with junk."
"Yes, we badly need a way to get news out other then the silly Welcome Page."
"We just discussed having planes flying overhead with messages on them this morning."
"Jen, Jim, and I thought up Whyville in 1999."
I also got one quote from a City Worker whom I can't remember the name of, here it is: "Yes, all City Workers live around the LA area, or went there to get trained."
GolferJ was also there, but I didn't get any good quotes from him, the place was too hectic.
There you have it, folks! I'll give you a few pictures to end off with. Tahtah!
