Hello fellow Whyvillians, friends, and family!
I just want to tell you all what I thought of: a new column -- REVIEW!!!
That's right! Books, movie reviews, anything! Y-mail what you think about
your latest book/movie that you have read/seen. I'm also here to
tell u all I'm startin a new poll about my review column --
you y-mail me and I'll e-mail them to the editor!
OK, here's my review. It's on Harry Potter the book and the movie. I'm guessin you're all thinkin I'm a Harry Potter fanatic, well, you're right!! I LOVE
HARRY POTTER! I also tried out for the roll of Hermoine, one of Harry's best friends but no luck. I was close to getting the part, but not that much.
The Harry Potter series includes: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of
Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Well, I'm talkin about the 4th book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! Be ready, if you haven't read the book already, you might not want to read my review here. At the start of the series, Harry lived with muggles -- normal people like you and me -- because his mother and father were killed by an evil wizard lord when he was really little.
When he's away from school, Harry still lives with his muggle family, the Dusleys -- they hate Harry!
In The Goblet of Fire, it's Harry's 4th year at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When the students arrive back at Hogwart's, the headmaster Albus Dumbledore has a surprise.
There are two other magical schools coming to a thing called the Wizard
Tournament.
In the Wizard Tournament, you have to complete 3 tasks in order to win -- you need to complete the 3 elements: skill, water, and fire. Supposedly, only people 17 and up are allowed to put their names in the goblet, but Harry's name somehow got in, and Harry has to compete.
The first task is skill: they have to get past a
dragon and get the golden egg. The 2nd task is water: they have to go underwater in the lake and rescue someone that's trapped in seaweed. Harry makes it through those tasks fine. The 3rd task is when the four champions have to race through a maze and touch the goblet to win and get full marks.
But! the cup has been turned into
a trap: it transports wizards from place to place. In fact, the cup leads to Lord Voldemont, the evil wizard who has been trying to kill Harry for some time now... but he takes Cedric Diggory with him and, well, he dies. So sad!
But then, happy come back! And all is right again.... But the movie will be about the first book, and soon you'll see or read that, so I won't spoil it.
