Were you around in Whyville before the infamous Black Out? In case you
weren't, a great many articles were written about this. We even had a
writing contest.
If you were, you might remember the the Why House used
to be called something else. It's been undergoing major remodeling since
the Black Out.
This week, after being closed for almost exactly 6 months,
the Why House opens with the launch of the Whyology Center. To find out what
the Whyology Center and 200 clams have in common, read the article in this
week's issue by Whyville's resident Whyologists.
Operation Tito is still in full swing. Don't miss out on
this chance to help Whyville invite a celebrity to town! If you missed
the story on this last week, here it is again.
Lastly, I want to alert Whyvillians living in the Los Angeles area to an
interesting real-life event happening on August 5, 2001 in Hollywood.
An organization called Animaction has invited Whyvillians to participate
in a animation marathon. You get to go there and use their materials
and their help to produce a real cartoon, exactly like a professional would.
To find out more, go to www.animaction.com and click on the WAM logo, which stands for World Animation
Marathon. Sponsorships are available so that Whyvillians may participate
for free, so if you're an aspiring cartoonist, email them
at wam\@animaction.com to let them
know you're a Whyvillian interested in being sponsored for this event!
Keeping you up with the Times,
Your loyal Editor
