I have had many friends throughout the years, but there was one friend that made me realize the true meaning of friendship. Her name was Tiffany. She had light brown skin and hair and chocolate-brown eyes.

We met on the first day of kindergarten. She came up to me and asked me if I wanted to be friends. I said sure. From then on, we were inseparable. We did everything together. We were no longer known as just Sarah, or just Tiffany. We were Sarah and Tiffany, as if we were one person.

The next year, we were in the same class, and the year after that and the year after that, all leading up to fourth grade, where our friendship would be tested. Her dad had just received a new job, something that I would have normally been happy to hear. Not this time. With this job came the decision of moving closer to where her father would work.

That night Tiffany called me and told me that they were going to move. That was one of the few nights in my life where I cried myself to sleep, wishing that there was a way to change events in my life. But, what I realized was that it was fate for her to move, and I had to accept it.

For the first few months, I had almost lost all contact with her. But then, I managed to get her new phone number. When I first heard her voice, I almost cried. I had other friends, but no one as special as her. We talked for almost two hours, catching up on what had happened recently and reminiscing on what had happened in the past. I spent the night at her house and she spent the night at mine.

Jealousy almost ruined our friendship. She had a new friend at her new school. But, she told me something. She reminded me that no matter what happened, we would always be there for each other; best friends forever. Now, I feel as if were closer then ever.
