Shopfever tells a story about a women wanting to be a big star in the 1950's. Do you think she has the cut for it? Or will she leave Harold and say it's not the right job?

The night is calm. For there is nothing left to say, nothing left to do in this little time we have. The cars aren't on the streets. The wind is barley blowing. And here you come walking down the street. You say, "Honey, I think we need to take a walk and talk about the once in a lifetime chance you might get." "Harold, you are really going to give me that chance?" "If you agree to, Julie." You said. "Harold, your a big time movie producer, your a judge for singing, and your also a record dealer. You really think I have the talent to be a big famous star on Broadway?" I said, whispering. "Well...you sure aren't Marilyn Monroe, but I think you can handle it, Doll." We walked down the streets talking some more. By the time I got home, it was 12:00 midnight. We've been talking the hole night. And how am I scared of this? Why am I so scared? I've sang in front of people before.

9:00 in the morning, I wake up. Someone rang the doorbell. It was Harold. "Hey, Doll. What's shaking? Do you think your cut for the job?" Said Harold. "I... I... I don't know, Harold. I mean I love music. I love writing it. And I love singing in front of people. But for some reason... I'm so scared. And I don't know what to choose. I mean this is a really big step in life. Here, Harold. Please, come inside." You stepped in. "Look, Honey, is it yes or no? Remember this is probably one of these once in a life time things, ya' know?" I handed you a cup of coco. "Thanks, Doll. Anyways back to the deal here." I took a sip out of my coco. "Think about this... fans equals autographs, autographs equals more popularity, and more popularity equals more money for all the CDs you sell," you said. "Yes... I know but I mean... the fans will always be following me to much, and the magazines will be publishing stuff that's not true and..." I took another sip of my coco. "There will always be reporters going around and asking me questions and stuff."

Now it is 12:00 AM and you are still here. "I think I might give it a shot. Because I can go to parties, make money, have a lot of fans, and that's what I love... ya' know?" I said. "Well... then do you want the job or not? Because we've been talking about this a whole bunch," you said. "I don't know... I need a few minutes," I said.

25 minutes later... "I'll take the job, Harold. I'll take it! I'll take it! I'll take it!" I said. "Are you sure, Doll? This is a big shot for you. Did you think about the bright and bad side?" Harold said. "Yes I did, Harold. And I thought... well I'll be a lot richer and I don't just have to sleep on a matrices anymore... I can sleep in a bed! And I don't have to read those ripped up books or where these ripped up close. I can do everything I always wanted. And make all my dreams come true. Of course they'll make jokes about me on late night TV... but who cares? I mean... know one believes it. They just laugh because it's funny. And everyone has to go through with it. So I'll take the job, I'll sign the contract, I really will! I'm really sure right now. And I always will," I said. "Okay..." Harold took out the papers. "I need you to sign here and here and here."

It's not the end yet. Will Julie's career go great? Be bad? Or have drama? You'll have to read my next story "The Spotlight on Me: Part 2" to find out! If you enjoyed the first one you'll love the second one!
