Hey it's Mae, with a face part designer you probably know . . . Covert87! You may have seen her popular face parts around Whyville such as, "Pretty Girl", "Pretty Girls", Pixie Star T", "My Sponge Bob Buddy", "Ooper Dooper", and "What Can I Say". You can probably tell that she is talented!
megmeg9: How did you hear about Whyville?
Covert87: My best friend was on it at my house and made me an account, I was 13 turning 14 at the time. My first account was Raver91 and now Graciela5 and covert87.
megmeg9: Great! Why did you start making face parts?
Covert87: Well I always used the program paint to make cool pictures on so I figured it would be fun and simple on Whyville, plus I needed the extra clams. It's funny how I started off making awful parts. I would spend a long time on some things and think that they came out good but I was so wrong, he he!
megmeg9: I still make face parts and think they're great until I see them in stores! Luckily for you, we all can see you improved a lot! Did anything inspire your creations? If yes, who or what?
Covert87: Oh yes! A lot of the shirts that I make are shirts that I own in my closet, some were remakes of shapes that I liked and made them my own. When I remake parts, it's usually because I cannot find the part in Akbar's or to make with my own taste. And lately I've been making parts that I would enjoy picking my nose with ha ha.
megmeg9: You must own really cool clothes, because I see a ton of Whyvillians wearing your shirts around Whyville! Who are your favorite face part designers on Whyville?
Covert87: I've always admired the classic designers like Crumple, Girlyleo, and SuPaGuRlE. YargPixie is also one of my faves and Kitadoll.
megmeg9: Those are interesting designers! What is your favorite face part you made? My favorite would be, "Pretty Girl" everyone loves the originality to it!
Covert87: Yes I noticed a lot of people love it, I think it's okay. I had a shirt in real life like that but I don't have it anymore. I would have to say though that my favorite part would be....hmm...either "My Spong Bob Buddy" (which was inspired by a Valentine's Day card I got), or "HuRtFuL MeMoRiEs".
megmeg9: Those are really nice face parts! Do you have any tips for your fans?
Covert87: Hmm...Make parts that you will personally love, specific colors make it pop, and practice makes perfect!
megmeg9: Great tips! I should try them, maybe my face parts will finally get some potential! LoL. Were there any struggles or challenges you had to overcome?
Covert87: Design wise? Not really except Whyville made me change my account name because they said it was inappropriate. It scared me because I thought people would not notice my parts, so no. he he.
megmeg9: Well, looks like you didn't have to worry about people not noticing your face parts! Do you think you will continue to restock and make new face parts in the future?
Covert87: Well yes of course, I know I stopped for a long time because Whyville got boring but my sister's go on now so it's hard to keep away. Though I don't really chat anymore I pop in and out every once in a while and usually come on to restock everyday and make new parts every week..lately anyways.
