Whyville is becoming more diverse as more and more people join. Which is absolutely great! But, I have seen more people doing things like getting married on here. I mean you can like someone on here but, why are you getting married? It's over the Internet and you don't know the person that well. I was always taught that when you do get married you're getting married to your soul mate the one person you're meant to be with the rest of your life. But, that isn't supposed to happen until I am out of school and living on my own; not while I am living with my parents and am still in High School and getting married to someone on the Internet that I don't really know to well.

I have seen that other Whyvillians have the same beliefs as I do. I have seen many polls wanting to stop the marriages on Whyville, including my own. I have also seen many girls and guys wanting to stop people going around saying they're pregnant with a huge shirt that makes them look like they are. I mean seriously people this is a site for having fun, learning, making friends and much more. But, it's not a dating site and some people are making it seem like it is.

I decided to go out and chat with a few people around Whyville. First I talked to a girl named 14roxi14 that I found at the Mall Fountain.

Brooke881: What do you think about marriages on Whyville?
14roxi14: I think it's kinda pointless; it's virtual.

Next I talked to two Whyvillians who thought that getting married was also a bad idea. They told me their opinions on why they thought that people on Whyville shouldn't get married.

Smokin17: We're too young anyway.

Smokin17: No, we're just to young. Whyville is a place for having fun not playing match maker.

Of course there are many people on Whyville who think getting married should be allowed and they themselves think it's a good idea. But, I believe Whyville should be marriage free. Just like Smokin17 said, Whyville is a place for having fun not playing match maker.
