Author's Note: This is a character sketch about a girl named Paige Johnson who is the main character in a novel I am presently writing.
She sits at the table and pushes away the plate of animal cruelty in front of her. With tears in her eyes she tells her parents that she will not eat it. She runs her hands threw her long brunette locks and lays her head on the place mat. Her dad tells her to lift her head, and look at him with her pretty blue eyes. She lifts her head, and does what he asks her to do. He tells her, to cheer up and wipe her salty tears away. She bites her pale, pink lips and wipes her tears of her face. She cannot help but to cry whenever she sees meat, cheese, chocolate, wool, or milk. She tells her parents she cannot sit there any longer. She pushes her chair back with the little muscle her scrawny body has and runs her petite body up to her bedroom where she sits on her bed and cries. Cries like she always does.
