Hello Whyvillians! Today I'm trying something new, a little bit of a fashion/history mix article! I've been on Whyville since December 2006, so I decided to look back over the months of me being on Whyville, to see how my avatar has changed. I'll also offer fashion "tips" that I've learned the hard way, by making those mistakes. Enjoy (and please don't point and laugh)!
December 9, 2006, my first official day on Whyville. I'm a floating head! Whoot whoot! Tip #1: Always wear a shirt with a neck to avoid being a floater.
December 20, 2006. This is just a bad look, even for a Newbie. I've got a neck, but why is my mouth in the middle of my face? Tip #2: Never place your mouth or eyes too high!
December 21, 2006. My face is more proportioned, but what was I thinking with that shirt? Tip #3: Think before you buy!
December 23, 2006. What can I say to introduce the next tip? Tip #4: It's better to have your hair in your eyes then your eyes in your hair.
February 1, 2007. Clutter is bad Chi. Let Tip #5 help: Never clutter your face with too many extras (until you're experienced in creating a balanced look).
February 9, 2007. Tip #6: Learn how overlapping works. Put your shirt on first, followed by your mouth. That way you won't end up with a long neck. This also goes for eyes; put them on before your hair! My typical order is eyes, hair, shirt, mouth, nose, etc.
I think you can understand what day it is. Tip #7: Go holiday classy, not holiday trashy.
May 17, 2007. No nose knows best? I don't think so! Tip #8: Newbie's, get all your basic face parts (eyes, nose, mouth, hair) before picking your nose for the first time! Everyone else, make sure to replace your basic face parts right when they expire! This also goes with my next tip. Tip #9: Always have another head ready for when your other expires! It will automatically be switched, so you'll never have to be a big blue blob!
June 19, 2007. I don't think that there's anything wrong with this look, it's just a good example for Tip #10: Look around for face parts that you can mix and match with! Pour the Champagne looks great over Let's Bake Cookies!
So there you have it folks, 10 tips to pick your nose better! And I hope you've enjoyed seeing my avatar "grow up" over the months. Please note that these tips are only for some guidance. If you don't want a nose, you don't need to have a nose! One of the really great things about Whyville is that your avatar can have whatever style you want it to have! Hooray for nose-picking!
This has been rochrox, going to go study for a French quiz.
