All the lives lost,
can never be replaced.
All the tears cried,
and the sorrow we faced.
Our lives are scarred,
with the painful day.
That can never be changed,
or erased away.
I am lost without you,
and I can't find my way back.
The world of happiness is gone,
and my heart is left cracked.
When I close my eyes,
I see the smoke in the sky.
Flames engulfed the Twin Towers.
The day America had been overpowered.
Children, parents, husbands, and mothers.
Sisters, uncles, aunts and brothers.
In our hearts we'll always be together.
I will remember you forever.
Each year on this day,
I stand by your grave and pray.
And I say,
I love you.

Author's Note: This poem is dedicated to those who lost a loved one in 9/11.
