PANDEMIC
The advice that echoes in my ears
The grief spilling out in the form of tears
The walls seem too close, the ceiling too high
Memories come in and out of focus in the blink of an eye

I'm dizzy, I'm confused, it must be a dream
How can you be dead, while the world is so serene?
Now you're just a memory, it's like you didn't even leave
But why is there a hole in my chest that makes my body heave?

I can't face reality
I'm being crushed by gravity
Everything's too clear
I want to be any place but here

Author's Note: This poem was inspired by the book "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".
