Ah the Whipcar, allowing people who cannot afford a Scion to now rent one for 50 clams per ride. Now they can invite their friends to go for a drive, and no more waiting and begging to get into some one else's Scion, and then having them kick you out 30 seconds into the drive.

Yup, the Whipcars offer an experience to Whyvillians everywhere, but sometimes the experiences are not happy ones.

Since the Whipcar hit the streets there have been several complaints about green machine. They are everywhere! After three seconds of being at the Beach, or in Sector Y on the way to Grandma's House and right in the middle of Whyville Square, you are always nearly hit by at least one of Whipcars, and sometimes two.

But what is the problem with the Whipcar? Dancelvr3 writes in a current poll that, "It was fair when people earned their money to buy a Scion." As well as noting that many other people are complaining about these new devices. And there is certainly proof of this, why, the poll right above hers is also booing the Whipcar. In a poll titled "Whipcars? Say What?", Sduckie13 writes, "Whipcars are starting to annoy me." She argues that they get in the way of chat. But she like others may have a solution to annoying-hulk-on-wheels.

Sduckie13's idea is that rather then simply dumping the entire Whipcar idea and eliminating any chance of thousands to ever ride in one, and much less drive one, that who ever wants to drive one, should say "Summon Whipcar". This seems like a fair solution seeing as even Scion owners must summon their Scions.

Another solution may be another chat room. Yes, a Scion Rental Room, where the Whyvillian can actually rent the car per hour, or per day. The Scion Rental Shop could charge 50 clams per hour, or 150 clams per day.

I certainly don't believe we should send the Whipcars to the junk yard, but I think it is time for City Hall to do something about this controversial luxury item.

Thank you all for reading my first Times article, and I'll see you in the BBS!
