The common cold is the neatest sickness to some doctors. You see, the common cold isn't just a normal cough, stuffy nose or anything like that. The common cold is usually the hardest to get rid of. Sure, you can get rid of it quickly, but there isn't an actual cure for it. Do you know why? Hey, this is Nateenka, signing in.

As you may know, a cold lasts up to a variety of days. You don't really actually know when it will end. It is the most common thing to get sick on. Okay, there is also the flu, coughs, fevers and even the odd mixed sickness, as in almost everything. But, do we really know how to cure it? Is it difficult or easy to cure? Well, our doctors and scientists are trying hard to find a cure for the cold, but no matter what they do, they cannot find a cure. Yes, they can relieve you, and maybe make you feel better. But to this day in age, we do not have a cure.

As far as we know, the actual virus itself, does not stay the same. It changes its shape so our immune system does not recognize it. That means that the virus can get away and get the body sicker. That is a true fact, that someday may be broken. We don't know for sure that we will defeat the virus, but as they say, you never know 'till you try it. I hope that we will find a cure, but I don't have full faith in it. I understand, and I hope you will too, that this is very complicated, and that we may never ever brake its true truth. That doesn't mean we won't figured it out. We might, we don't know.

For some of the half-cures, to make you feel better, there are steam inhalation, good old chicken soup, mega doses of vitamin C, Super Silver (which is very good for you and is completely natural), herbal remedies such as tea and Echinacea. There also may be more too. The viruses that causes the most common colds is a Rhinoviruses. They are a ball shaped object that has littler objects on it. Here is what it looks like.

A Rhinovirus is ball shaped.

That's not all the viruses that cause the common cold, there are more, but this is one of the most common. Most humans get this one. The basic way to not get a cold, is to wash your hands everyday after school, work, or at a friends house or after shopping. You should wash your hands before each meal, especially if you have something on your hands say from your pet, or after working in the garden, or anywhere else. Also, if you don't want someone in your family, or maybe your friend to get sick, you shouldn't sneeze on them, or cough or wipe your cold on them after you had sneezed.

For more protection from the common cold or any kind of sickness, you shouldn't let anyone sneeze on you. If they do, wash your hands immediately and don't put your hands on your mouth. If there is one person at school with a sickness like that, it is very well possible to get it from them, and polluting the whole school with that same sickness. More people may get different side effects from it, but just think, it all came from that one person. That has happened in my school and classroom before.

Once, at my school, I had the cold. The next day a person from my class was sniffling, and apparently got it from me. By the end of the week, when I was almost finished with my cold, almost my whole class had that same cold. Only for some lucky people didn't get it. They, of course, washed constantly and didn't touch near there face, and stayed clear away from people who were sick. Just goes to show you that the cold may spread quickly.

Remember, don't get sneezed on! Bye bye. This is Nateenka, signing off.
