Hey all you Whyville people!
This is Finigan here -- a Whyville veteran, I suppose -- and that is
actually what I'm writing to talk to everybody about, Whyville's
history.
I guess I could start off by saying things have changed, and
some of you out there might not realized how much they actually have
changed, A LOT! Some changes are better than others, but that makes no
difference none the less.
Some of the major changes lie in the ways
clams are distributed. The 9th of December, 1999, is when I joined,
and the most sought after (and expensive) item was the metal mouth at
150 clams a piece. Now, these took a long time to get because the most
clams you could get a day was ten. Nowadays, some people make enough in
one day to buy those things. See what I'm getting at, kiddies?
Another change that I have noticed just recently is how quickly Whyville
is growing. We are now at 98,110 and growing. There was once a time --
believe it or not -- when you could freely move around in the Square
without going over somebody else.
Another large change is the addition of buildings. Such buildings as
the Sportplatz and the Playground were (and still are) huge monuments
for me; they are so people-friendly it's unbelievable. Also, the
addition of the WASA center is a huge achievement, for all Whyville
kind.
So that's my opinion on things as we reach our 100,000th mark. I wish you
all good luck in the future and present.
Sincerely,
Finigan
