In previous times,
we were far from 'simple'
there were wars
things were sinful
We are more now
than we were then
Only to increase,
good will never win
This is our last
chance to redeem
the mistakes of the past,
easy, it'd seem
But of course,
with all these things
evil, and bad,
are you encouraging me?
People our age
fifty years ago
too late for them
And this, they know
Listen to your parents
and grandparents, too,
Listen to the things
they say to do
They are wise
Beyond our years
They understand things
And have keen ears
They see what is
Going on in our life
And know how we all
have such strife
They know how to heal
Our broken land
And wish to give us
A helping hand
Give us what they
Wish they could have
Give us what they
could have had
This is our last chance
Our generation
Our space, and time
Our generation
Yours, and mine
So shall we take care of it?
