Since Akbar's Mall launched in August, it's truly been the talk of the town.

Some folks think it's great, some folks think it stinks. Many want to see it become a real 3-D mall. Everyone's got an opinion.

But whether people like it or not, the bids to get top listing at the mall has gone up and up and UP! Would you believe it, the top bid now is over 6000 clams a day! To a lowly editor making the meager salary I do, this just simply blows my mind.

To equal out the playing field somewhat, City Hall has asked Akbar to introduce a new scheme. Akbar is grumbling a bit, as he's been making some serious clamage, but he has grudgingly agreed. Starting this week, there's a fixed price that will guarantee your listing. It's not cheap, but it's certainly not 6000 clams a day!

In fact, even if you don't pay a single clam, there's still a chance that you can get in the mall listing! Check it out. There's even a new "Search by Store Name" feature at the bottom. It's a brand new system for a brand new era at Akbar's.
