Author's Note: This is a speech written about tranquility for my English class. The assignment was to write a speech relating to Martin Luther King's speech.

"We fluctuate long between love and hatred before we arrive at tranquility."

What is tranquility exactly? Tranquility is calmness, peacefulness and serenity. There is no such thing as pure tranquility in the world we live in. There is always something horrid taking place, whether it's two kids fighting over a Ninja Turtles toy or a civil war in Africa.

You have to have faith and hope in other people to achieve tranquility in your own life. But somewhere in the dark recesses of your mind you know that there are fights and bombings and wars in third world countries while you are eating your blueberry pancakes at IHOP. Everyone needs to face the facts and realize that the world will never be perfect but we can strive to be as peaceful as possible. Look to your neighbor or friend and give them a hug.

Peace is the answer to tranquility and a happy life. Peace will make your life better because you will be happier with yourself. You also won't yell at anyone as much. You will have a completely different perspective on your life and how you live. You will even treat situations different.

Admittedly, chaos is fun sometimes but everything deteriorates if it is engulfed in chaos. On this Earth there is no possible way to have complete peace BUT you can have complete chaos. Complete chaos would destroy a city whereas complete peace would make it better and more enjoyable place to live.

Without all the partners of tranquility like love, hope, faith, and peace we are never going to be in pure peace. Love, provides a solid foundation. Hope, holds tranquility because of it's delicateness. Faith, keeps tranquility safe through thick and thin. Peace, biggest factor.

Today tell all your friends that you love them and are glad they are alive. Furthermore, tell all your enemies that you love them and that you are glad they are alive. We only have a short amount of time on this Earth, make the best of it.

Peace Out Sauerkraut :D
