Editor's Note: Warning, spoilers ahead...

Hairspray started as a musical on Broadway, with overweight Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) getting her dream by dancing on "The Corny Collins Show", and maybe even get her dream guy, Link Larkin (Zac Efron).

The movie stars Nikki Blonsky in her first movie, John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, Michelle Pfeiffer as Velma Von Tussle, Christopher Walken as Wilbur Turnblad, Amanda Bynes as Penny Pingleton, James Marsden as Corny Collins, Queen Latifah as Motormouth Maybelle, Brittany Snow as Amber Von Tussle, Zac Efron as Link Larkin, Ellijah Kelley as Seaweed J. Stubbs, and last but not least, Allison Janney as child abusing Prudy Pingleton. Now that was a lot. Let's get to business.

This movie is rated PG. Tracy Turnblad lives in 1962, with segregation in the air, very big hair, and the meanest people on TV. Tracy loves dancing and dreams on going on "The Corny Collins Show". Her mother, Edna, is against it, afraid they will hurt her feelings because of her size. Wilbur Turnblad tells her to go for it, and only after Brenda, one of the council members, has to leave for 9 months; apparently, my babysitter said that was because she was pregnant and had to go out of state.

So, Tracy goes to WYZT and auditions. Velma Von Tussle, the station's manager, hosts the auditions. But she doesn't allow Tracy on the show. Tracy is very upset, but a few days later she is sent to detention, an Link Larkin sees her dancing. He tells her that Corny is hosting the hop the next day, and that she should show Corny.

Tracy is finally allowed on the show, though Mrs. Von Tussle and the sponsor are not pleased, calling her a chubby communist girl, and that they want her off the show. But she prevails, even when she was being hunted by the police. Finally at the Miss Hairspray pageant, she reappears. Amber doesn't win, Tracy doesn't win, and to everyone's surprise, Little Inez Stubbs, Seaweed's little sister, wins, and the show becomes officially integrated. Tracy even gets the man of her dreams, Link.

Now, I asked two people to do an interview with me. Both watched it, and liked it. First, is Happeee1.

Kenza332: Have you watched the movie Hairspray?
Happeee1: Yep.
Kenza332: What do you think about it?
Happeee1: I loved it, but I don't think it was John Travolta's best performance, but you don't think that right?
Kenza332: OK, what grade would you give it?
Happeee1: Out of 10, maybe 8 or 8.5.

Next is Lolipopp5.

Kenza332: Have you watched the movie Hairspray?
Lolipopp5: Ya, I have it.
Kenza332: What was your favorite part?
Lolipopp5: The end.
Kenza332: Cool, me to, what grade would you give it?
Lolipopp5: 99
