Author's Note: I composed the following poems over the past year. Rather than giving each a separate title, seeing as they are relatively short, I simply decided to name the collection.
Indeed,
I acknowledge
Such horrid whispering.
Lies, breathing, lurking among us,
I know.

The harmless earth cries,
Silent sobs of innocence.
What have we become . . .?
--------------------------------
She avoids the cruel hurting pain,
No help answering her wants.
Must a girl be afraid of her found desire?
--------------------------------
Once again, selfishness prevails.
An uncontrollable monstrosity,
Devouring innocence.
