Royalty v. Equality

It seems that around Whyville lately there has been a lot of "royalty", everything from Queenwhy to whyjester. Personally this has been getting on my nerves. I mean, isn't Whyville supposed to be about everyone being equal and getting along? Being "royalty" in Whyville seems to be a way to try to earn some respect from others, when all it really does is make other people or newbies feel sad and ugly, and make the rest of us wonder about how cool you really are.

If you have a high salary on Whyville, you shouldn't have to have a name that shows it. You could help out a newbie or Grandma instead of going around gloating who you are. This isn't meant to offend anyone, and not everyone does this. It just seems to be a type of discrimination in my eyes. I think everyone that has a royal name should have to change his or her name, but get to keep all of his or her belongings.

It is very offensive to me that some people on Whyville think that they have higher standards than others. Whyville is supposed to be about unity and everyone getting along and making new friends, not shunning people for what they are... or in this case, what they are not. Some "royals" aren't doing anything wrong at all and I understand that, but before you tell that one newbie or other girl that she will never be royalty, maybe you should re-think your answer.

Thanx for your time everyone,

This is Alexa... signing off.
