I am addicted to Will Ferrell.

Not the kind of addicted where I've seen every movie that he's in, but the kind of addicted where your life goal is to meet him, see every movie he's in and where you randomly throw quotes that he's said at least 10 times a day.

I guess you could call me obsessive, but that sounds like such a bad thing . . .

In my opinion, Will Ferrell is one of the funniest people to ever walk the earth. My friend Amy and I quote some of his movies all the time and we bring them to school and watch them in Spanish class. My math teacher's board gets filled with a different quote from a different movie almost every Friday and the other day my mom asked me the meaning of a word and I said "Nobody knows what it means, but it's provocative!" Quite simply put, Will Ferrell is my favorite actor.

"I don't know how to put this: I'm kind of a big deal. People know me." - Anchorman

John William Ferrell was born in Irvine, California on July 16, 1967, currently making him 40 years old. He became interested in performing when he was in high school, while he made the daily announcements over the public access system in different voices every day. He met Chris Kattan while doing an LA comedy/improvisation group called "The Groundlings". Shortly after, he moved on to doing Saturday Night Live. While doing SNL, he was named the worst cast member during his first season, but his talent of doing impersonations and his variety of characters made him one of the best. In 2002, he left SNL and pursued a career in film. In 2000, he was married to Viveca Paulin and he currently has two kids.

"You smell like beef and cheese! You don't smell like Santa!" - Elf

He lives in both Los Angles and New York City. He has completed the Boston Marathon in 4 hours, 2 minutes and 29 seconds in 2003. In 2007, he was ranked #17 on EW's 50 Smartest People in Hollywood. He was on the Varsity football team and he still holds his high school's record for the number of the most field goals made. He usually plays a character who receives a serious 'reality check.'

"Nobody knows what it means. But it's provocative." - Blades of Glory

In my opinion, Zoolander, Blades of Glory, Talladega Nights? and Anchorman are my favorite movies. Zoolander is a favorite because Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are in it, and they're pretty hilarious, too.

"This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons" - Talladega Nights

There are four types of comedy in movies:

1. Giggle funny, where you are giggling through some parts of the movie.
2. Chuckle funny, where you are in between a giggle and a laugh for half of the movie.
3. Laugh funny, where the movie is making you laugh though three fourths of the movie.
4. Rolling around on the floor laughing funny, where half the stuff that comes out of the actor's mouth is making you laugh.

You can easily classify the majority of the movies that he's in as comedy. Not the kind of comedy where you laugh occasionally, but the rolling around the floor laughing funny.

"Blue Steel? Ferrari? Le Tigre? It's the same face! Doesn't anyone notice this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!" - Zoolander

You can easily fit things that he says in the movies into any conversation, or article, for that matter. Seriously, try it some time. Example?

Mom: Hey, Kaila, can you tell me was ____ means?
Kaila: Nobody knows what it means, but it's provocative!
Mom: Kaila, I don't need you're Will Ferrell mind, right now.
--OR?
Amy: KAILA. GOSH. I'm so MAD AT YOU!
Kaila: If we went to a Halloween party dressed as Batman and Robin, I'd go as Robin. That's how much you mean to me.

You can do this, because half of the stuff that comes out of his mouth at hilarious. Can you sit through an entire movie that he's in without laughing? Yeah, neither can I.

"Chazz Micheal Micheals IS figure skating - BOOM!" - Blades of Glory

Could you imagine Will Ferrell not being loud? Or funny? Or both at the same time? The majority of the things that come out of his mouth are funny, but they're about twenty times funnier if they're said LOUDLY. I told my friend that I couldn't get enough of Will Ferrell saying things boisterously and then said that someone should make a movie where he says random, pointless stuff loudly for two hours. I mean, I would go see it. (:

"You're my assistant! Yourre supposed to back me up and go get my juiceboxes whenever I want! Now go get me a juicebox!" - Kicking and Screaming

Well, that pretty much sums up my favorite actor in the land of acting. I would really encourage those of you who have hardly ever heard of Will Ferrell to go buy and/or rent every single movie he's ever been in and watch them intently.

I'm Kaila, and you stay classy, Whyville. (:
