I'm not one to write deep. Glitsygrl or xo7joa7ox are better at this than I am. I've tried several times to write my opinions. But I can never get it out "write". So, here we go. Wish. Me. Luck.

When you first write for the Times, you think you're doing so well. Your fingertips fly over the keyboard, the words flowing from brain to your hands. You can't stop. But, when you did, you hit "Send" and that was that. A week later, you've been published. You're so happy. But what's that? 2 stars?! 2?! You deserve at least three. You go to the BBS listening to people say how it didn't flow and it wasn't well written.

That. Hurt.

You scream at them saying "HOW DARE YOU!" and "I'M AN AWESOME WRITER!" You yell at holiday50 for being so mean and scream at Vancyon for joking around with your article.

Right now, you're probably sitting in a comfy chair drinking sprite and munching on goldfish saying "What's your point?"

I'm not sure. It'll come to me soon enough.

Your next article comes out. "It was better," they say. "But you need . . ."

That hurt.

But then again, why should you listen to these people? They've never gotten a book published or written for Newsweek or anything like that! So why should you listen to them?

Do we agree to fit in, or agree to agree?

I know you've probably sprayed your glass of sprite halfway across the room and choked on your goldfish. You've have probably said, "I agree with my own opinion and I would NEVER agree just to fit in."

Are you sure?

I do.

My friends do.

Do you wear the clothes from Hollister or American Eagle to fit in? Why not wear that comfy, striped turtle neck your Aunt Julie gave you last Christmas to school.

Now, I bet you're sitting there with your mouth wide open going, "Wait? She just completely changed subjects!"

Yes. I did. Welcome to my world of writing deep.

I'm. Tired. Of. Fitting. In.

So why fit in? Why fit in on Whyville or the real world?

Fitting in just makes you boring.

Think about it.
