Hello, jank03 here to talk about our Times legends! I asked them a few questions to find out what they think. I caught up with a few of them so I had to extend this article into two, so look out for another one next week! So this is what your favorite writers had to say.

(legends include: ps2man1, cobd, holiday50, ushersg, baxierox, ljjpz1, eric5675, morgan612, xo7joa7ox, and maglina)

Being a Times Writer is hard work, it's not just the fame, it's a lot more. So what's in the mind of our talented writers. The first legends I interviewed were baxierox, ljjpz1 and holiday50.

Jank03: Well thanks for this interview so let's get started! My first question is how did you get into the Times?
ljjpz1: Well, like all the other writers! I emailed my article to the Editor, and hoped for the best. After a lot of work, it all payed off. At this time I would like to thank the Editor for making the newspaper happen and for all there great suggestions!
baxierox: My sister's friend rochrox, was already writing for the Times. She always said it was fun so one day I started writing a few articles. At first my articles weren't great but the constructive criticism from billyjo, Holiday50, Cobd and ps2man1 really helped. If you add their ideas on how to improve into your articles they will greatly improve.
holiday50: I've been reading the Whyville Times since I first joined Whyville. I wrote my first article in 2004. I went back to writing last year, to show people that there's a good writer behind the critiques.

Jank03: WOW very interesting stories there, thanks. My second question is how did you know about Whyville and what was your first thought of it?
baxierox: When I was 8 or 9 I had an account. After a few months I became bored and quit. In December of last year my sister, letterox, rejoined and later on told me how fun it was so I re-joined. My thoughts of Whyville have drastically changed form when I was little. It is much larger but has improved as well with scions and the Bankiter. I remember when I was on my old account the Tiki Tours hut was a popular hang out. Not so much anymore.
holiday50: I heard about Whyville from my classmates because back then, almost everyone had an account on Whyville. My first thought of Whyville was that it was really cool because it was different from other websites, you get to have faces, homes, make money, design face parts, interact with people from around the world, talk to the site staff, become a senator, and do so many more things.
ljjpz1: I found out about Whyville in a magazine I read. It sounded interesting so I decided to check it out. I thought it was great then, and I still do now.

Jank03: Great! I'm sure many Whyvillains may have thought the same. Okay, next question is what do you think you have accomplished over the time you have been on Whyville? (this question is to two of the three legends)
ljjpz1: Well I know becoming a y-mail helper and getting a scion are pretty big accomplishments. My goal right now is to learn how to make good quality parts and get my own land plot.
baxerox: I have accomplished most of what I have wanted to accomplish. I have made new friends, heard other people's opinions on certain topics and entertained people. All those things are important for future real life decision I have to make.

Jank03: Ok well those were reasonable answers. This question is aimed at holiday50, what are your plans for the future on Whyville?
holiday50: When I have more free time, I'd like to go back to designing face parts. Designing takes a lot of detail, patience, and time. I also want to keep writing for the Whyville Times because it's a way of teaching Whyvillians and connecting with them.

Jank03: Well very interesting! If you had one word to describe yourself what would it be?
ljjpz1: Funny or lazy
holiday50: Persistent
baxierox: Blunt

Jank03: Ok different choice of words there! It's coming close to the end of the interview this question is aimed at baxierox. If you were stranded on an island what 3 things would you take with you? (this is just for fun)
baxierox: Three things . . . that's tough. I'd have to take a knife so I could get food and survive. I would bring a large photo album so I could remember all the people and things I care about. My third item would be some form of entertainment, either a book or radio. The book that I would take is "Airborn" by Kenneth Oppel. Not only is this my favorite book, but the main character is also temporarily stranded on an island.

Jank03: My last question for ljjpz1 is - we all know you're a talented writer, how do you make your articles so interesting, and fun to read?
ljjpz1: I like to do the hobbies that many normal Whyvillians do. It makes it a lot more interesting. To make my articles fun to read, I just put the article in my own words. Since I am a funny guy, I switch the boring informative words to fun easy words.

Jank03: Thank you everyone for the interviews and good luck with your future writing and lives. You are all great! My last question to holiday50 is that what one piece of advice would you give to future writers out there?
holiday50: Pick original topics and look at the world around you for inspiration. When you have your topic, do some research to learn more about it. But don't write an article that consists of all facts. It's good to show that you did your research, but facts are boring to read. Also, add your own opinions and ideas into the article. Lastly, remember to edit your article! If at first you don't succeed, try and try again so don't be discouraged if your article isn't accepted.

Ok thanks for reading my article and stay tunned for the continue piece next week in the Times. This is jank03 saying laters not goodbye, hope to see you next week!
