Author's Note: This poem was inspired by the poem "I'm Nobody! Who Are You?" by Emily Dickinson.
Dear Nobody,
How are you today?
I am fine, as always.
How wonderful it is to be Nobody than to be Somebody!
What a sorrowful, ordinary life that must be!
Dear Nobody,
I am glad you are Nobody like me.
I can relate to you and you can relate to me.
Isn't that wonderful?
How horrible it would be if you were Somebody!
Dear Nobody,
Isn't it interesting to watch Somebodys?
They walk around like clones.
Unoriginal.
I would never be able to live that way.
Dear Nobody,
You've been acting very peculiar.
Is everything alright?
Why would you even consider becoming Somebody?
Somebodys aren't exciting, they're bland!
Dear Somebody,
You've changed . . .
