Hello Whyvillians! Can you recall what happened on February 5, 2008? No? Well . . . then let me be more specific. Can you recall what happened TUESDAY, February 5, 2008? That's right! There was another Meet The Makers (MTM)!
The MTM was supposed to start at 3:30 Whyville time. Boy was I excited. I collected all of the questions I wanted to ask and very quickly converted the Whyville time for my time zone to know exactly when to be there. I had in my head that it started at 7:30, so I went off to do something else for a few hours.
I decided to do my homework and get that out of the way, but distractions were everywhere and I just couldn't concentrate. I would look at the clock three times a minute, but it just seemed to get slower and slower. 6:30 went by . . . then 6:35 . . . but when the clock reached 7:00, I had had enough. I simply could not wait anymore. I would just have to go save myself a seat in Club Why.
Little did I expect, when I went into Club Why - BAM. It was packed! With City Workers and Whyvillians alike. Then I realized, I converted the time wrong! It started at 6:30, not 7:30. Oh dear . . . that was a dilemma. I had to ask my questions lightning-quick!
I had a limited amount of time, so I had to cut the chit chat and get down to business. Here's what I found out:
New things coming to Whyville? As always! Right now, they are working on a new WhOI activity, as well as a new Plane Works activity. Which leads me to my next information . . .
New chat rooms? Of course! They are designing a spankin' new chat room that you can only get to by using a plane! That's right - a plane.
Glancing about in Club Why, I saw a question being asked about Why Pox, which sparked another question in my head. I asked scyllaCat what's going to be new with Whyville viruses. Now, take this as good or bad news, whether you like the Whyville viruses or not, but there will be new viruses in Whyville! But not only that. Whyvillians will be able to design, patent, and sell vaccines for viruses, just as they do for face parts.
But, that's still not all. I saved the absolute best news for last. I almost can't contain myself! Are you ready for this?
They are bringing the Wishing Well back to Whyville! That's right, folks, they found a sponsor! Of course, it will be in a different form. It's said to come around July or August. Now, don't badger City Management about bringing it sooner, because that's not in their power. It's all up to the sponsor if they want to come earlier or not. *cough crosses fingers cough* ;)
