Hey guys! I'm back this week after skipping last week's because of about 83 tests in one week. I hope that you enjoyed having Tara with me 2 weeks ago, and I hope to do it with her, or someone else, later in the series.
This week, I've got 4 artists and bands that I'd like to share with you. Let's go!
Four Year Strong: If I could only use one word to describe them, it'd be "amazing." Every song that they've written truly is a work of art and they have the BEST lyrics ever. Just read this: "Pick your feet up on the ground // They got to move a little faster // Faster to make it out of this disaster // Will you last or will you fall to your knees?" ("Abandon Ship or Abandon All Hope") Currently, Four Year Strong has one full-length album (Rise or Die Trying) and five demos.
Flyleaf: This was a really popular suggestion this week, probably because we all wish we could scream like Lacey! They're a fairly new band, although they are on Fuse more than FYS, with only one self-titled album. There is some debate on whether they are a Christian band or not, mainly because all the members are Christian, but they don't know if the band itself could be considered Christian. One of their popular songs is "All Around Me".
Fray, The: The Fray is probably best known for their song "How to Save a Life" which is usually featured on hit TV shows. Their also known for "Over My Head (Cable Car)". Both songs can be found on their album How to Save a Life, which was released in 2005. They have currently four permanent members: Isaac Slade, Joe King, Dave Welsh and Ben Wysocki, but they also have Jimmy Stofer as a touring member only.
From First to Last: After Sonny Moore left FFTL last year, FFTL hasn't been the same . . . Anyway, FFTL is currently made up of four members: Matt Good, Travis Richter, Derek Bloom and Matt Manning. They have a grand total of four albums: Aesthetic, Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount, Heroine the newest self-titled album, which is due out on April 15 of this year. In February of last year, Sonny Moore (former lead singer) left the band to pursue a solo career (hint for the S's . . .)
Well guys, that's it for this week! Remember to post suggestions for G only, or else you'll have to deal with only Gwen Stefani! By the way, I want to say that even if you say that you hate a band and beg me not to put them in, there's a high percentage that I will if I get people saying that they would enjoy reading about them. Just because a few people don't like a certain band doesn't mean that I'm going to run away from them screaming "No! I can't write about you! No, No!"
This Kaila, off to study photosynthesis for yet another test tomorrow
(Out of the fire and into the fire again, you make me want to forget . . .)
