What I'm about to say may or may not shock you, depending on your views on this series. Those who weren't fans of it and thought it was a waste of space are that people that will be incredibly happy. However, Leo and I think that anyone who does think that LASPTBTOE isn't worth a space in the Times must have something wrong in their heads.
So what could we possibly saying?
LASPTBTOE is finally coming to a close. We've done some of the biggest tours in the US, Canada and even Ireland. Now, we've only got two tours to educate your brain with: the Honda Civic tour and the Take Action! tour.
Leo, would you like to start us off with the Honda Civic tour?
Honda Civic Tour
I'm sure we've all heard of the Honda Civic. Pretty popular car, you know. We've seen them on the streets, in parking lots, hey, maybe even someone in your family drives one. But did you know there is a Honda Civic Tour?
Yes, ladies and gentleman, there is, and this year, once again has brought you an astounding 2008 line-up. Before I share this year's bands on the tour, how about we go into some history and prior artists?
The Honda Civic tour started in 2001 and since then came out every single year with a new round of amazing bands for us to enjoy. The Honda Civic tour is sponsored by, if you hadn't guessed already, the Honda Motor Company.
The Honda Civic Tour is different from most of the tours Soyer and I have talked about because they have many different genres of music and show off some extremely popular bands, where most tours have a couple of headliners and some more unknown bands.
Over the eight years the Honda Civic Tours has been running, a lot of great bands have come through, including: Blink-182, Incubus, Maroon 5, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Thrice, Dashboard Confessional, The Pussycat Dolls, The Academy Is, Fall Out Boy, the Black Eyed Peas, Cobra Starship and Paul Wall. Some pretty huge names, I know. The Honda Civic Tour seems to have them all.
If you're planning to show up at one of the Honda Civic Tours many, many shows, then you'll want to know this years line-up. I'd be happy to oblige.

The tour passes through tons of big cities like San Francisco, San Diego, Orlando, Austin, Miami, Atlanta (Leo:Soyer! Are you gonna go? Soyer:DUH, Leo, DUH. That was a stupid question.) Washington DC, NYC(!), Boston, Cleveland, Chicago and so, so many more. There are 45 tour dates in all and hit many of the major cities in the US and even Toronto and Montreal. So far, their first show in San Francisco and a show at the Roseland Ballroom in New York along with a show in Chicago are sold out. Get your tickets soon!
Take Action! Tour
When I think of the words 'take' and 'action' put together in the same sentence, I think of taking a stand for or against something. That 'something' could really be anything: world peace, racism or abortion, but this tour is about something different.
The Take Action! Tour, which used to be called "Plea for Peace Tour" is held every spring and is used as a way to get people to recognize teen suicide and preventing it. A portion of the ticket sales are always donated to the cause.
Over the years, the Take Action! Tour has had a lot of different kinds of bands and everything from Jimmy Eat World to Silverstein and from Thursday to Hawthorne Heights.

The Take Action! Tour is from February to April and has been active since 1999. A cool thing about this tour is that, like the Warped Tour, you can buy or download compilation CDs with tracks by the artists that play in the tour.
It feels like a long time since the first LASPTBTOE came out. Since then, we've shared some pretty awesome tours and festivals with you. Let's get a recap of some of the music extravaganzas we've talked about:
- Warped Tour: One of the most famous punk/rock/alternative tours and extreme sports festival, it started in 1995 and is sponsored by the shoe company Vans. The tour takes place during the summer, which is why it is dubbed the 'Punk rock summer camp'.
- Bros in the Snow Tour: This tour takes place from January till March and has an amazing line-up of bands including Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, protest the Hero and A Day to Remember.
- Projekt Revolution- A annual concert headlined by Linkin Park, Projekt Revolution brings fans some of the best alternative/hip-hop music out there. Projekt Revolution started in 2002 and has been going strong since.
- Taste of Chaos: The 'winter warped tour' as some call it, started in 2004 by Kevin Lyman, the same man who started Warped Tour. Taste of Chaos is a extremely popular post-hardcore tour that has had some really big headlines over the years, including The Used, Saosin, Aiden, Rise Against, and My Chemical Romance.
-Bamboozle Festival: Bamboozle is a huge music festival that takes place in Jew Jersey every year since 2003. The festival lasts two days and is a lot of fun, plus offers great alternative/punk rock music. It even switched it up a little bit when MC Hammer and Weird Al performed at the festival.
-Lollapalooza Festival: This festival is different from many others because not only does it show great music, but it also has comedy performances, craft booths and special extra things to do. The festival started in the 90's as a reunion tour of Jane's Addiction, but now you can see it's come to so much more.
-Oxegen Festival: This festival started in 2004. This festival takes place in Ireland and is sponsored by Heineken International. Oxegen was six huge stages and places for music lovers to camp put during the two-three day festival. Many amazing acts have played over the years including The Cure, The Strokes and The Killers, plus so many more.
If you hadn't guessed already, ladies and gentleman, this is the last week of LASPTBTOE. It's been a ton of fun writing this and learning about the tours ourselves as well as sharing it with you.
All of these tours and festivals are a great way to have a good time and listen to fantastic music, but always remember to get proper supervision of you're younger and parental permission. Tours and music festivals are fun, but you always have to be safe.
