Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great time at the Haunted House! I sure did!
Anyways, I'm here to talk about the Why-Pass...
For a six month pass it costs \$24.75 us, in Canadian that comes out to
\$39.41! That's almost twice as much money! It would take 2 months of
allowance to roughly pay that in Canadian funds (on my allowance). So when
people say it only takes 1 week allowance, they are completely wrong!
That means no going to the mall, no movies, nothing for me for 2 months, or
4 months every year! To me that is a large sacrifice I am not willing to
live with. I also have other expenses I deal with!
Also, I realize how paying for one in clams might be an option. But there
are A LOT of wealthy people in Whyville and I think that if City Hall allowed
us to pay clams for a pass, it should be well into the thousands! If you
can't afford it then maybe you should start learning how to play the games
and raise your salary! I did and boy did I learn a lot from them! They're
very educational. If the cost of a Why-Pass in clams is too low then it
won't matter if you have a pass or not, you won't be able to log onto
Whyville! Think About it!
So I hope City Hall will take these suggestions into consideration and I
hope that some Whyvillians will think, the next time they make a suggestion.
Thank You For Your Time. I Appreciate being able to Speak my Thoughts.

City Hall's Response:
Hi Stewie,
I'm sure the Editor will want to publish your opinion about Why-Passes.
But I just want to explain to you that we can't accept clams for
Why-Passes. I don't know if I've mentioned before, but some of our
employees went without their salaries for 7 months or more, just so
we can use the money we have to pay for our computers, Internet connection,
etc. to keep the site up. We love Whyville, but I'm sure you can see that
it can't go on like this. Since you see how hard it is to sacrifice
your allowance, you can probably relate to how hard it's been for us and
our families to sacrifice months of salary, just to keep this site going.
Why-Passes is our effort to ask the Whyvillians who can afford it to help
with just a few dollars each. There are tens of thousands of you out
there. With just a few dollars each, we could keep this town going. But
they need to be real dollars, not clams.
I understand the exchange rate makes it more expensive for Canadians.
People could always bid for less, as low as \$2. That's only about \$4 a
month Canadian.
Hope you understand our situation,
City Hall
