Hey hey Whyville,
I've never seen anything like it! Clams falling from the sky!
Here's the rundown: 445 Whyvillians caught clams during the shower,
and on average they each caught 219 clams. According to the
statiticians here at City Hall, that's 35 times the
average salary of all Whyvillians!!!
In total, 97,781 clams were caught (but you could've figured that out
yourselves, from the number of clam-catchers and the average number
caught, o' course). And, the most clams caught by one citizen was...
drumroll please... 5,063!!!
Holy moly! I don't think you'll find a stranger weather occurence
anywhere on the planet... and I've been most everywhere!
Happy hunting for the next shower!

Dear Everyone,
In my eyes, and quite a few other peoples eyes Why-Passes are scams. My opinion about the "clam shower" was it was just a way it get people to buy Why-Passes. City Hall figured, no one will be able to get in and they REALLY want those clams so they will HAVE to buy those Why-Passes. And you know what? Half of the people I know on Whyville bought Why-Passes. That is how I figure it. I mean how random is a "clam shower"? Who would have saw it coming. I have never known of a "clam shower" BEFORE the Why-Passes. I think it is all a big scam.

Dear Whyville Editor,
I am writing about the clam storms this weekend. I think they are a very good idea. There was a lot of excellent feedback about seeing them falling from the sky. I myself collected many clam coins because I could see where they were. There was also a lot of negative feedback about not being able to see them because you arrived too early. I interviewed rkjd, and here's what she thought:
nautiegal: So, what did you think about the clam storms?
rkjd: They were very cool. I liked seeing them fall from the sky.
nautiegal: Now was there anyone around you that couldn't see them?
rkjd: Yes, there were many people that couldn't see them and couldn't figure out why. I felt sorry for them, and it only happened to me once.
nautiegal: Were you satisfied with the amount of clams you received?
rkjd: Yes and no. I was disappointed that they only came in mostly 1, 5, and 10 coins but also I was happy that I got any at all (once again my pity to the people that couldn't see them).
nautiegal: Any additional comments?
rkjd: Just that I think it was a good idea and that it should happen every once in a while. And thanks to the Whyville staff for making it happen.

Hey all, Lilbeaut is back. As many of you, I'm sure have heard, there have
been clams dropping from the sky! (Awesome!) They are falling on the hour!
Some of you who may not have heard are asking, "Clams falling from the sky?!
I want some. But why and how?"
Why: Just a little heart warming gift City
Hall and her workers decided to do as a Thanksgiving gift. It is also a way
to learn your way around the globe. Clams for thought, as I call it.
How: Getting these amazing clams is pretty confusing, so don't blame me if I
don't do the best of jobs explaining how to get the clams. First, you check
your bus. You look at where it says the population, Whyville time etc. After
a few seconds of waiting you'll see Weather Forecast. It will say where and
when the next clam shower is. Once you've picked up this information, you hightail it to the Warp Wagon. You then search the map for the place where the clam shower is and go get your clams!
Tips For Getting The Most Clams:
-
It will be pretty jammed packed with Whyvillians want the same thing as
you. CLAMS. So I would say be early so you might "position" yourself better.
-
Another thing, these clams don't look like your average, every day, clams,
so expect any sort of falling from the sky object!
-
Find the place on the map about 15 minutes before the actual Clam Storm.
You don't want to be in a hurry and not find the place in time and miss it.
-
HAVE FUN!!!!!
Have fun enjoying this amazing feature, only for a limited time. And if you
see City Hall, or any City Workers, thank them for all their hard work. They
put a lot of effort into this so we can enjoy ourselves.
I am thankful for Clam Storms... what are you thankful for?
