Maybe you've heard of us, and maybe you haven't, but I'm here to tell you anyway. The Anti-Whydating Campaign. It's a campaign to discourage and stop Whydating in our little town, open to anyone against whydating.
Whydating has been around almost as long as Whyville. If you don't know what whydating is, it's when you date someone you met only on Whyville, and have a virtual relationship. By now, some of you are asking, "Why is that so bad." It's because you're basing it off the look of their avatar, or face. You don't really know them; you just see an animated face and believe what they tell you.
Obviously, you don't really know who that person is. They could be a nerd, geek, or loser, not that it matters, but one of the great things about Whyville is you can have an alter-ego, or be someone else. Unfortunately, that means you can pretend to be someone else. A boy could pretend to be a girl or vice versa. They say they love you, but do you really know? Frankly, no, you don't.
I'm not saying Whyville is full of creepy child molesters. What I'm saying is you don't really know who you're talking to. So how can you base love off of that? You really can't.
Another part of the campaign is just 911 reporting people doing "inappropriate" things on Whyville. It's a children's site, so why are you having Whysex, making whybabies, and having a fake whyfamily? That doesn't make sense.
Whybabies. You can buy them at Akbar's. I've gotten y-mails from newbies asking if there is a baby store or Whychapel! What is this! Why is Akbar encouraging inappropriate activities by selling babies? We believe that there should be no whybabies and they should all be deleted.
The campaign has finally reached 100 members, about half as big as the Whyville Pirates from what I?m told. We aren't trying to upset people; we are just trying to make Whyville a better place for all, from that 6 year old to that creepy pedophile (Just Kidding!)
The main reason I'm writing this, is to show that there is a group of people out there who want to show support against whydating. We invite anyone who wants to, including City Workers, to join and show their support against whydating.
If you would like to join, please y-mail AWDC07. This is the account used by the campaign. Also see that account's City Records to find out what we do, what's new, and a list of all our members. And it's completely free!
Another great way to show support is through our signs. We have two types, and can be bought in Akbar's by searching "Anti Whydating." They cost one clams each, but only for a limited time, because they cost ten clams to make!
That reminds me, there is no fee or any clams requested of you. It's totally free. I pay for anything with my own clams.
I hope this has opened your eyes about whydating, and encourages you to get more involved in our little community to make it a better place for all.
Sincerely,
Eric5675, President
Anti-Whydating Campaign

Author's Note: Whyville does not official recognize this campaign, yet . . . We would love that to change . . .
