CupOfCake: When did you start designing?
Sakura479: Let's see. . . I made one or two face parts on a different account before, but I really got into it when I bought a Why-Pass, this past December.
CupOfCake: How long did it take you to get 'good' at designing?
Sakura479: I would say it took me a few months before my parts actually started to look halfway decent. :P.
CupOfCake: What was the first part that you made?
Sakura479:v The first part I made was a beach themed crown called 'This Is Bound To B Ugly', and trust me, it was ugly!
CupOfCake: Is that part still in Akbar's?
Sakura479: Well, I still have the design for it, but I don't think I'm ever going to let it see the the 'shelves' of Akbar's Face Mall anytime soon. :P.
CupOfCake: What is your favorite part, that you've made?
Sakura479: I'm going to have to say that my favorite part, which is my best selling one, is 'Sakura479.' I was running out of things to call my parts, so I named it after my user name. :P.
CupOfCake: Do you think you price your parts reasonably?
Sakura479: I price some things a little too high, but on the whole, I don't think I price things too outrageously.
CupOfCake: Who is your favorite designer?
Sakura479: Well, that's a tough one to answer . . . I have a lot of favorites, but I'm going to go with Covert87. She makes the coolest stuff!
CupOfCake: What is your favorite part, by that designer?
Sakura479: I think my favorite part, by her, is the pair of eyes called 'Made With My Love.'
CupOfCake: What is your favorite store, in Akbar's?
Sakura479: My favorite store in Akbar's is: 'Lila', by LiEs. A lot of my favorite designers sell in that store!
CupOfCake: I see you have a very unique look. What inspired you to make your avatar look like that?
Sakura479: Thanks! I actually went for a 'Panic at the Disco' themed look. It sort of reminds me of the music video they did for 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies.', but I added lots of ribbons and bows to it because they are my favorite face parts to wear!
CupOfCake: If you could switch virtual-lives with one designer, for one day, who would it be?
Sakura479: Hmmm, Peachadee comes to mind. She is very well-known and super rich!
CupOfCake: Do you have any tips new designers?
Sakura479: Yup! I have a whole bunch:
1. Don't give up if your first part isn't as good a turn-out as you would have hoped. My first few parts were. . .scary, so just keep trying to improve.
2. If, when you are about to press the done button, you say to yourself 'I wouldn't wear that part.' Don't send it in! Fix it until it comes to a point where you can honestly say that you love it.
3. Make sure to read the upcoming mini series I am writing with my friend, Elphaba88. It will be filled with even more tips on how to go about making different face parts, as well as the steps you go through to make face parts. Now all we have to do is wait for Sam to make the screen shots, and it should arrive in the Times soon. :) .
