I'll journey over that tattered bridge
I'll pay the ugly troll
I'll cross the line, you can't stop me
Lest monotony take its toll

What's on the other side, you ask?
Goodness, don't ask me
I have no idea, but that I must go
It's where I'm supposed to be

Maybe it goes to nowhere
A blank roll of nothingness
Or maybe it goes to somewhere
to the epitome of happiness

The price may be high to get there
I might have to sacrifice much
But I will not waver, I will not
Use that inconvenience as a crutch

My quest will not end until I have
Discovered what lies beyond
That tattered, old, despairing bridge
Or from me my dreams have been pawned
