Alright, before I continue, I need to rewind a bit back to the time where I first saw Meagan. Meagan had always been like that, she just changed at school so she looked and acted popular, that's why I was picking her up. I had become popular, and so was she. And Elizabeth? Oh, she had found another best friend, so it wasn't like I was "cheating" on her. So her blonde hair was brushed, her lips glossed, and she was perfect, like me.

Now, let's go back to me staring at YET another face lift. I opened my mouth to see two tiny fangs in my mouth. Now, I see why popular people are called blood-sucking freaks. I saw Meagan walking over, coming to check her hair, too.

"What are these?" I whisper-screamed at Meagan.

"Oh, those come naturally with popularity. You get used to them," she replied casually.

"So, all of us have them?" I asked.

"Mhm. Even guys have them," she said as she examined her fingernails.

"Do we suck the life out of nerds, or something?" I wondered.

"NO! Of course not. That would break our cover that we were vampires, so we don't drink blood," she said as if I had known that all along.

"Yeah, duh," I tried to sound happy.

"Speaking of parties, we're having a slumber party at Dania's house, come with?" she asked.

Dania was one of Meagan's friends, and she was the party starter, the one with all the fun. I absolutely couldn't wait!

"Sure!" I said happily. I can always tell mom later, I thought.

Quite a lot of popular girls were there. Meagan, Dania, Ashley, Shannon, Chloe, and Kailee. All of which had vampire fangs. The party was at a large mansion, and we were set in the living room, playing truth or dare. We were all sitting on the floor with a plastic bottle of diet coke in all of our hands.

"Chloe! Truth or dare?" Kailee asked.

"Umm . . . truth!" she gushed.

"Hmm . . . would you rather kiss . . . Mr. Dilton (math teacher), or Mr. Aresman (custodian)?" Kailee asked sneakily.

"Mr. Dilton all the way! At least he doesn't have dreads!" Chloe said as she swished some soda in her mouth.

"Okay, now . . . Katie! Truth or Dare?" Chloe inquired.

"Dare!" I replied.

"Okay . . . I dare you to ask out . . . Garrett!" she screamed.

"I'll go get the phone book," Dania yelled, already walking toward the kitchen.

Okay, now I need to tell you something about Garrett. He was one of my best friends when I wasn't popular. I didn't want to ask him out! The poor guy, I'd feel so bad! What have I done to do something so mean to him? I prayed.

The phone was tossed to me, and I looked up Garrett's number, even though I had memorized it by heart. I dialed the digits slowly, carefully.

My heart pounded as the phone rang.

"Hello?" Garrett asked.

Just then, Ashley screamed into the phone, "Hi hottie!" and then Shannon hung it up.

The room was filled with excited "Ohmigods!" and snickering. I was laughing, too, but deep inside me, I was trembling in fear.

The next day in school, Meagan stopped by my locker.

"Hey," I smiled

"We're having a party this Friday," she said.

"Sweet," I replied.

"But you have to bring a date," Meagan whispered.

She knew that I didn't have a boyfriend! That wasn't fair. It was Monday, and I had no obvious chance of getting a date!

That day, when I was checking my e-mail, I saw that my inbox had 42 unread e-mails. When I opened them . . . I screamed.
