"I am trying to sum this up quickly so it won't take all night" continued the elf, "This shouldn't take to much longer. So where was I . . . Oh yes, the princess was turned into the witch Laguana."
"Delrah was stricken with grief with what he had created. He went to his room to create something to undo it. It took him weeks of fiddling and concocting, but he finally created it. He created the key.
Laguana knew of what he was creating. She planned an attack on him, to steal the key. It was a dark night, Delrah was working in his room. Laguana was sneaking around outside, waiting for the perfect moment to attack. The lights went out in his room and everything went silent, it was the perfect moment. Laguana turned into a cheetah and pounced on Delrah. She told him to give her the key, but Delrah refused, because she couldn't be trusted with the power it possessed. Laguana was about to kill him, but just before she struck the dying blow, Delrah flung the key out of the window, into the lake that was below. Laguana screeched and tried to grab it, but she was to slow. They key plummeted into the pitch black water, never to be seen again, that is until your grandmother found it 70 years ago."
"Okay, that was a nice little history lesson of the key, but how does my grandmother fit into all of this?" I asked.
"Well, your grandmother was playing in the water, stumbled upon the key, and wanted to keep it as an antique. She was not the true possessor of the key, so I couldn't let her keep it, I was assigned to take it away from her, hide it in the lake again and keep it from everyone except for you!" continued the elf, his golden brown hair glowing from the reflection of the fire.
"You talk so very fast" I replied to him, my head spinning from all the information I had just learned.
"You gave me a history lesson on this key, told me that my grandmother found the key, but you haven't told me what the key does" I said.
"Well," said the elf sharing a glance with Mr. Craw, "We actually don't know."
"Well we don't know the main purpose of the key, what we DO know is that you have all the power that Laguana has," continued Mr. Craw.
"You mean I can shape shift and all that wacko stuff? I asked.
"Erm, Yes if you prefer that term, try saying this" and the elf whispered a word into my ear, and I repeated it.
"Fairth", and then it happened.
