Individuality: The Price You Pay

Are you really yourself? Or is someone else you? Or do you act like yourself but dress to impress because your afraid you won't fit in the "mold"?

What are the consequences of being yourself?

1. You get made fun of.
- Not everyone will like your clothes or interests. Ignore it.

2. You lose friends.
- Some of the people you used hang with won't like you because you're not like them. True friends like you for you.

3. You become anti-social.
- Sometimes, just because of the way you are or the way you look, people won't want you to join them. So you stop talking.

4. You become anti-popular.
- People will reject you. Who cares about people who put that much importance on being "popular" and sacrificing others' individuality?

What are the advantages?

1. You feel better about your self.
- You feel proud that you're not being controlled by somebody. Doesn't it feel good not to have that mask on?

2. You gain friends.
- People will admire you for being yourself. You will find these people to be honest and good-natured.

2. Your personality will change.
- Your personality traits will change. Instead of being Phalmatic (going along with other people just because they do something), your personality will be more Sanguine (outgoing) because you have overcome the fear of being yourself.

So there you have it. I got all my feelings out. Hopefully I helped some people a little bit. Remember: Be true to yourself, and don't waste your time being something you're not. Really, it pays off.....

Hearing criticism everyday,
