I smiled when the bright skies were covered by gray.
The ice fell in patches, blanketing the ground in white snow.
The sight reminded me of you.
Fresh and beautiful.

The way the snow captivated me
Just the way your eyes do.
The way your lips part.
When you smile brightly like the sun.

Every part of you is pure astounding.
The corner of your lips.
The crook of your neck.
Everything about you draws me in.

Your name was called.
My heart started to race.
It wasn't until you walked past me
that it stopped trying to beat out of my chest.

I stepped aside for you to walk away.
Hand in hand.

However, it was not with me.

But I'd let you walk away again and again,
Just to see that he can put a smile on your face
Better than I ever could.
