She's lonely. She's surrounded by people, yet her loneliness resides. She is lonely for love. She longs for a special person in her life to be with her through everything. She feels so alone.
All she wants is someone to love. Loving is easy for her, it's someone loving her that's the hard part. She wishes she was bolder, more confident, anything to make her less afraid. She is too shy to talk to that boy in the hallway. She is too invisible for him to notice her.
She dreams of finding love one day. She fantasizes, sometimes a little too much. She imagines the day love will find her. She will finally be happy, she will fill her happy wagon with 100 pennies, 1000, putting in more and more until it overflows with happiness. Instead she takes one out because another day without love is another day in which her happiness dwindles.
She is becoming unhappy, yet she still dreams. She plays the scenes she wishes would happen over and over in her head hoping one day they will actually come true. She knows this is unhealthy, for when these things don't happen it will make her even more sad than she already is. Tears come to her eyes as she thinks of the things she may never have.
She wants that special guy to know her name, to get to know her inner being, to love her, and to hold onto her and never let go. She yearns for him to come and sweep her off her feet, she wants to fall for someone harder than she's ever fallen before, until she's fallen so far that she knows he is the one.
The one. She wants to find that one. There's so many millions of people around her, how does she know which one is him? She is looking for him, searching. Is he looking for her? Does he desire to love her as much as she wants to love him? Is he waiting for just the right moment to find her? She hopes he won't wait too long. She wants him in her life, and soon, before she breaks down. She wants him to reach into her heart and pull out all the loneliness that has built up there, and fill it instead with love.
All she can do is dream. Dream, and wish. And one day she hopes her dreaming and wishing will pay off, and there he will be, ready to save her from the lonely girl she is becoming.
