This piece has been my most challenging yet. My first, the Orangutan, which you can look up in the earlier times, was very simple and to the point with colors. I did not mix anything nor blend very much. This time I made it a point to layer the colors and use techniques I have learned on Whyville to shade and highlight the fish.
I am quite proud of myself for how it has turned out. My goal was to make the base colors dark cool colors and add lighter cool colors on top with a little bit of warm pinks/reds to highlight certain points. Eventually, the background will consist mostly of warm colors with cool colors highlighting that. I am always looking for suggestions as any artist should without compromising their unique style.
