Ello? Yes, it is once again Me, Grenouille, the brother of Akbar. As I am sure you must know by now, I am a highly skilled artist who lives in Paris (yes, I am THAT good) and I don't have a lot of time to be helping my severely stressed brother like this, but... since I can see that he is going crazy having to reject Face Parts for the same reasons over and over again, I have generously agreed to 'elp him by... oh, 'ow do you Whyvillians say..."whipping up" some Face Factory tips in the Whyville Times. Oui? Look for them every now and then, won't you? If you follow my excellent tips, your Face Parts will have a much higher chance of getting accepted by my brother, Monsieur Exhaustedpants.
This fine week, let us please imagine that we are relaxing in a nice shady park, listening to my beautiful voice talking about your drawings of "hands holding things", shall we? Ahhh yes, my voice is beautiful, no? Let me begin by saying that Akbar is no longer accepting concealer (skin colored patches of color) or any parts that look like concealer, such as "add-on necks" or "a hand, just a hand". Due to some people using concealer and cover-up inappropriately, Akbar's Face Factory will not accept any ever again.
If I draw a pair of plain, skin colored hands without outlines to define the shape of the fingers etc., the hands essentially look just like concealer. You might say, "But Grenouille! What if my concealer/hands are holding a cute little French Poodle? Surely that's okay!". Well, sadly my friend, if the hands are not well defined with an outline, they will look just like patches of concealer stuck onto a dog and my brother will be forced to reject your item. So all of your hard work painting your fancy and expensive French Poodle goes down le drain. Pouf.
And you also ask, "But Grenouille, what about this skin colored hand holding a flower without any definition or lines around the hand part? Will Akbar accept it? What about this skin colored ear that has absolutely no lines on it and is just all over skin colored?" OKAY, hello? Am I speaking too much the fancy French accent in my very nice tone?
I am sorry. I have loostened my temper. I think you will all see what I am talking about in the excellent BEFORE and AFTER images I have selected.
Well, I must now go. Many other important things are having to be done by me.
Bonjour!
Grenouille
