Hi. Usually when I write to the Times, I'm writing about a Legend or helping newbies, but not this time. This time I'm writing about an old friend... Truth.
Almost everyone on Whyville knew Truth, otherwise known as Sweettrth. A long time ago, I was talking in a chat with her cousin, who brought me the horrible news to me that Truth had died.
My first reaction was "No... she couldn't have died! I was just talking to her last week!!" But then I remembered what Truth and I were talking about that last night. Truth had been taking pills for awhile, and she went to the doctor. The doctor told her she had cancer in her knee. I was so sad when Truth told me. She had a new boyfriend, her life just had started getting happy again, and then she got this bad news.
Ever since last our conversation, her cousin started going on Truth's Whyville account, telling people how Truth was doing and that she was in the hospital and wouldn't be out for 3 months. I thought I would talk to Truth again, so I just hoped that the cancer would go away.
Her cousin told me that the doctors had started giving Truth treatments for her cancer, but she had a catastrophic allergic reaction, and that's how she died. I was so sad, I started crying so much. I kept thinking, "She was my best friend on Whyville. We shared secrets no one else knows. How could this happen? She is so young...." But it did happen. She is really dead.
Many of you probably already have heard about this, but I thought I ought to write something to honor her. Truth was such a sweet and caring person and I don't know one person who didn't like her.
